ZACH BROCK, ARTISTIC DIRECTOR

Zach Brock is a Grammy-winning violinist. He has contributed to multiple Grammy-winning albums as a member of  the American jazz fusion band  Snarky Puppy. He has performing experience across multiple music genres, including classical, folk, bluegrass and jazz.

A native Lexingtonian, Zach studied classical violin before immersing himself in jazz at Northwestern University and Chicago’s legendary Green Mill. A recommendation from Jean-Luc Ponty led him to join Stanley Clarke’s band, and his career took off from there. A passionate educator, he has taught at Temple University and The New School.

MARCELO CORMIO, MUSICAL DIRECTOR

A native of Bari, Italy, Marcello Cormio’s work ranges from operatic and symphonic conducting to coaching singers. He has appeared with orchestras around the United States and Europe. Cormio’s commitment to education has been all-encompassing throughout his career. He is currently Music Director of the Central Kentucky Youth Orchestras. Cormio holds graduate degrees in piano, composition, conducting, and musicology from Italian conservatories and universities, as well as a Master of Music degree from Indiana University and a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Kentucky.

CACEY CLARKE NARDOLILLO, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

As a soprano, Cacey was lauded by The NewYork Times for her “exquisite” singing. and has appeared across the US and in Europe as a frequent concert soloist and in opera productions. A native of Maysville, Kentucky, Dr. Nardolillo received her B.M. at the University of Kentucky in 1996, her M.M. from the University of Colorado in 1999, and a D.M.A. from the University of Kentucky in2013. Dr. Nardolillo has taught at Centre College, the Downing Academy for Performing Arts, UK, Berea College, and has been director of the Vocal Area in the Prague Summer Nights Music Festival since 2015. As Executive Director at CML, she brings passion, expertise and an extraordinary ability to make trains run on time.​
